About BibliFocus

Statement of Faith

Donations Page

Hey, I’m Andrew. I’m an Intercessory Missionary in Kansas City. I started Biblifocus in 2023 to develop a Bible commentary app, but it ended up becoming a blog instead.

I also have a personal blog you can check out.

See the Contact page if you want to get in touch or have a question.

Biblifocus.com is a work in progress, and many articles require editing, proofreading, or rewriting. I am currently updating everything, so please feel free to contact me if you find any errors.

Ultimately, I would like the blog to help both Christians who are having encounters with God or trying to understand the Bible, as well as non-believers who have genuine supernatural experiences and lead them to Christ.

All of the posts you see, which may seem strange to some, are legitimate questions people have and are seeking answers to.

I wanted to create a Christian resource for people searching for things about God and spirituality, such as understanding dreams and having spiritual encounters. I’ve noticed that many websites that rank high in the search results for topics like Dreams are not from a biblical or Christian Perspective. So I created Biblifocus to offer a Christian & biblical perspective on spiritual encounters, dream interpretation, and other Bible topics.

Many of the topics of the articles are things people are searching for.

Biblifocus is a work in progress and many of the articles need to be edited, proofread, or re-written. I have a background in SEO and had a successful blog I deleted a few years ago. I got the articles up fast and now that the site is getting traffic I am working on updating everything. So, if you find any mistakes, please feel free to contact me.

About Me

I met the Lord when I was 19 years old.

The presence of Jesus filled my room for 3 to 4 hours as I wept and He encountered me. I saw the cross and I understood that all of my sins had been paid for by Jesus, and were nailed to the cross with him.

Soon after this, God moved me to South Florida and I got baptized in the Holy Spirit on my first day there, prayed in other tongues, and had dreams and prophetic encounters. Since that time, I’ve had many hundreds of various prophetic and spiritual encounters. I had trouble navigating them in the beginning, and I still do.

In 2014 I reached a place of genuine desperation. I faced inner and outer trials, grief, loss, and much anguish of soul. It went way beyond my idea of a dark night of the soul. I can’t put words to it. For two years, I was in the darkest season of my life. Until a person is there, it’s not something that can be understood.

All I wanted to do was worship and spend time with Jesus. Most of the encounters during this time were minor. Still, some were major and involved circumstances and events that are hard to believe but can be verified. I plan to share some of them on this blog at some point.

That dark season was the most rewarding experience I’d ever go through.

I reached a deep place of repentance in 2016, and God used the tests and trials of these years to form a humility in me that I didn’t have before. I’ve found that he encounters me when I humble myself before God. Unfortunately, in the seasons, I forget humility; the flow of God and encounters tend to stop.

God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble – 1 Peter 5:5

Since going through the dark night from 2014 to 2016, the spiritual gifts and encounters God has given me have been at a level of 100x what they were before. I am extremely sensitive to the spiritual realm.

Understanding the Spiritual realm, Spiritual gifts and learning how to use them are something I have to try and do. It’s no longer just a desire but a burden. I experience so much stuff that, for my own sanity, I have to understand what’s going on and how the gifts work.

The only instruction manual the gifts come with is the Holy Spirit (the teacher) and the Word of God (the Bible). It’s a relationship, and he wants us to partner with him in using (and figuring out) our gifts. I’m also thankful I can learn from the prophets and Christian mystics of the early church that came before me.

Hopefully, in my limited understanding of things, I’ll be able to help and encourage a few people. I don’t know everything. I’ll always still be learning too.

Intercessory Missionary

I am currently a Prayer Missionary serving in Kansas City Missouri.

I went to the Bible University in 2008, moved away, and God led me back to join staff in 2017.

I was on full-time staff from 2017-2019 and joined the Prayer Room staff intending to raise financial support and monthly partners. I had never gone through the process of raising support, it didn’t work out for me.

The prayer room is the only reason I made the journey to Kansas City.

Life did not happen the way I had planned, as is often the case. So I created a blog called “Seer’s Cave” a couple of years ago and recently thought that I might be able to use it to raise support. I took the blog down in 2021, and decided in 2023 to continue blogging–using a different theme.

I’m in some serious financial need at the start of 2024. I’d really appreciate a gift of any amount. The links to paypal and venmo are in the sidebar.

If you are reading this, my financial support needs have not yet been met.

A gift of any amount is appreciated. Just click on the Paypal, CashApp, or Venmo donation link in the right sidebar or the donation page on the top menu.

What I like To Do

I love experiencing God in the creation and the outdoors. There is nothing like being in nature, away from the hustle and bustle of 2020’s life.

I went on my first week-long backpacking trip in 2020 (Superior Hiking Trail). Backpacking and spending time in the “back country” with friends is one of my new favorite hobbies.

I also enjoy writing, creating websites, and learning about Internet Marketing. I plan to start a Youtube Channel at some point and get into video.

Disclaimer: I’m Not a “Guru”

I am not some super-spiritual guy who walks around all day in the Spirit. I am a normal person, just like you. I have seasons where I’m pressing into God and in the Word extremely, but that’s not every season. Like you, I have plenty of dry seasons and struggle with ordinary things.

I’d rather embrace my weakness and lead with a limp than pretend I have everything figured out.

I have not walked with God perfectly in the 17+ years I have known Him, and I can’t pretend to. Like every believer, I am flawed, but His blood speaks a better word over me. I am made holy, righteous, and clean by Jesus’s sacrifice on the cross. Not by my work.

I strongly desire personal holiness and to be a consecrated vessel. Still, I have fallen short of the standards I set for myself enough to understand that I am saved through grace alone.

Revelation 12:11 says that we are overcome by the blood of the lamb and the Word of our testimony. Revelation 19:10 goes on to say that the testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of prophecy.

Our prophetic encounters should reveal the knowledge of God and produce fruit that leads people to love Jesus more.

Judge Spiritual Encounters

Spiritual encounters need to be judged. The Bible is the inspired Word of God and serves as the filter through which we are to view spiritual experiences. Anything that contradicts the Bible is not from God. He will never go against what He’s already revealed to us in Scripture. The Word is living and ACTIVE and sharper than any double-edged sword! (Hebrews 4:12)

I know a thing or two about warfare and counterfeit experiences. Many Christians won’t discuss them, but I think they need to be addressed more. 1 John 4 tells us to test the spirits. In my experience, a prophetic person can only learn through experience and practice.

Hebrews 5:14 talks about mature believers with their gifts of discernment trained by constant practice distinguishing good from evil.

You can’t mature unless you face off with some demons and go through fiery trials.

Why I am blogging

This blog is about encountering Jesus and the spiritual experiences that can happen in Christian life. This includes encountering Him in the Word, angels, dreams, visions, gifts of discernment, physical manifestations like fire and power, spiritual gifts, and many other encounters.

I’m not sure what I’ll blog about next, but I plan to explore many topics. I want to write some posts inspired by the Desert Fathers at some point; and other ancient Christian Mystics, like Theresa of Avila and Madam Guyon.

My Gifts

I operate in gifts that vary and change. I am mostly a feeler, a perceiver, and a knower. I frequently feel physical manifestations of the Holy Spirit, fire, glory, various angels, and demonic spirits. I’m also extremely empathetic and what you would call a “highly sensitive person.”

My gift of discernment operates when I walk into a room. I can feel, sense, perceive, and sometimes see the spirits working in people’s lives. I can sense what God is doing and also the enemy.

I have visions from time to time, but they’re usually night visions (not dreams) or visions/impressions I receive in my mind’s eye when praying for someone/something.

I have a wide variety of spiritual and prophetic encounters. Too many different types to list, and many I don’t understand yet.
